Open Question: How do i start racing motocross?

Id like to start racing motocross but im not really sure how. I already have a bike (Pimped out Kx125, but stock motor) but im not sure how. Do i have to register somewhere or get a license or what? or do i just show up at different tracks and register that day? I live in Alabama and a friend told me to check out Bamamx.com but im not sure what to do to actually start racing, ive been riding for about 2 years (almost everyday after school and on weekends) and i can do big jumps and stuff and im very confident on my bike i just need to know where to start and what class i would race in, thanks....
