Open Question: Information about Maycomb County?

I have a school assignment for writing a few paragraphs about Maycomb, Alabama, the fictional American town mentioned in the book "To Kill A Mockingbird". The assignment says we may only use information to describe Maycomb based on the story in Chapter 1.
